In my youth I surprised everyone, especially myself, by working on several
continents. My cultural identity now lies somewhere in the
middle of the North Sea; a permanent expatriate even in my home country.
Swedish
culture had a big influence on me. The village of
Dalaro
was where I spent the Summer of 1978 in a seaside stuga and learned the language.
On trips to
IKEA
it's a treat to read the books on the shelves.
Even the
weather
in
Abo
is of interest to me.
I miss the waterside Finnish sauna
(pronounced sow'na - as in a female pig) and skinny-dipping in the Baltic.
