Welcome to the gallery. Here you will find temporary and permanent
displays of glass, stained glass, wood and sculpture articles; plus anything else
that takes my eye.
Some are from current craft workers but many items have been rescued from
various ignoble ends.
Some of the pieces look as if they have an interesting history.
Perhaps you can help fit pieces in the jig-saw?
After decades of procrastination Kris has finally learned to sculpt in clay.
My current speed of working is so slow that it would have been more suited to the pace of
an ancient cathedral. My naturalistic style is the sum of my life's influences and has resonances with the
"New Sculpture" of the late 19th century. It will be nice to leave my models with
their likeness that should last for a few generations.
Music and movement
My woodwork teachers at secondary school encouraged me, a bookworm, to try practical things like wood turning and also sailing.
Being part of the school choir, especially in front of school and parents at the annual Prize Day, gave me a taste of the power of choral music to move the soul.
None of these things became a main thrust in my life but they made me richer by the experience.
It is good to see similar influences on young lives today.
The world of boy choirs is well represented by video clips official, and unofficial, on
YouTube.
The quote "You can't step in the same river twice." is very true of live performances.
